Steps to reproduce the bug

turn on auto loop and play any video

Expected behavior

video auto loops without resetting zoom level or a ~500ms blackscreen like it did before 1.9.0

Actual behavior

the zoom level resets when relooping, and when relooping there is a ~500ms black screen between.

i believe it started happening with 1.9.0 because it was not happening ever before

I don't see this problem on the same device. Please share a sample video with which you can reproduce this issue.

Also, if both these problems are happening independently, please split this into two issues (as required by the checklist).

these problems both happen or neither. looks like it only happens with specific mp4 videos, so far i have only observed it happening in short videos <1m. currently trying to find a video where it happens and where the video doesn't leak all of my information.

Hi, I ran some tests and noticed the same bug when updating my gallery from 1.7.0 to 1.9.0. After checking all the versions in between, it looks like the issue actually starts in 1.8.0.

Yes, the player backend was updated in v1.8.0. I'll check if it's an upstream issue.
