Feature description

It would be great if you could lock files in folders (similar to folders).

This would allow you to mark everything and delete/move it, for example, but the locked images would remain in the folder.

This means that the empty folder remains visible and any selected cover is retained.

Why do you want this feature?

Better file management. Currently, I always have to leave/deselect one file in the folder when moving all files (e.g. a cover), otherwise the folder is hidden.

Currently, I always have to leave/deselect one file in the folder when moving all files (e.g. a cover), otherwise the folder is hidden.

I'm not sure if I understand the request here. Could you clarify please?

Pinning a file usually moves an item to the top of the list. It won't affect deletion behavior or folder visibility. You would still have to leave/deselect a pinned file or some other file if you want the parent folder to stay visible so adding a file pinning feature wouldn't affect deletion behavior at all.

Okay. Sorry. The comparison was a bit inappropriate. Then you could also call it "lock file(s)". The behavior is then of course also different.
