Choose the vcf file

How was this VCF file created? Did you use Fossify Contacts or some other app to export it?

Appears importing..., the appears Error: java.lang.NullPointException: Attemp to invoke...

If possible, please share an anonymized version of the VCF file. It'll help reproduce the issue.

The vcf file was exported from the proton contacts. How do i annonomized the file?

Laranxas avatar Aug 14 '25 17:08 Laranxas

How do i annonomized the file?

Manually. Open the VCF file in a text editor ➜ Replace private information from contacts ➜ Save as a new file ➜ Share here

OR

If you are okay with sharing, you may send it to [email protected].

The original has like 200 contacts so i can't go one by one erasing the info and i am no comfortable sending it. So i export only one to erase it's data and send it but in the moment i import it just in case it works, also importing ten togheter, but in the moment i tried with 50 it fails too

I was trying different numbers and if i import 43 or less contacts (the sames of different) it works, with 44 or more don't

So if the fossy team promisse me that you are going to erase them, (because in that form it's in writing) i will send the different vcf files i use to your email

No problem, don't worry about it. It'll be fixed anyway.

naveensingh avatar Aug 14 '25 17:08 naveensingh

I have send the files i use

I have the same problem, except that the file that I am trying to import was exported by Fossify Contacts and I am on Android 14.

I tried reducing the number of cards to import. No luck. I tried importing just one single card. No luck. I disabled de-duplicate contacts. No change.

In end I loaded Google Contacts and imported the vcf file with that with no problem.

Same here. Fun fact is this issue exists for years already, it has been an issue with the app before Fossify took over Simple apps. I just stumbled upon this ticket here and had to give my two cents.
