Show blobs in monthly widget if it's too small for multiple event titles

Feature description
Add an option to the monthly view widget, to have each event represented by a small coloured blob instead of a rectangle with the title in it. The aim is a display similar to the upper section of the "Monthly and daily view".
Why do you want this feature?
I would like to be able to shrink the widget further without losing all event information.
Even with the smallest font, the widget has to be at least 3 units high to show more than one event per day. Using blobs would allow it to be shorter and narrower while still showing which days are free.
Additional information
Current widget sized 3x2 compared to the relevant app view at a similar size.

It doesn't need to be an option. It could be adaptive based on the available size.
On the "Monthly and daily view", events for today are already visible in the list. How do you see that working on the widget when there's no list for events? Because the "today" indicator will overlap with today's event dots.
Agreed about making it adapt to the size.
If the widget stays with a small rectangle as the "today" indicator instead of the circle used in the app view, it won't overlap the blobs except at very small sizes. When it's that small, the rectangle could be made (vertically) shorter so it only just covers the date number, and it would still be clear enough.
