Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Have a shared calendar on both Fossify and Desktop Thunderbird (Debian Linux version ESR 128)
  2. In Thunderbird: create an all day event that repeats daily M-F for 5 days
  3. In Fossify confirm you see the 5 day series
  4. In Fossify, delete the Thursday occurrence (select "delete the selected occurrence only")
  5. In Thunderbird, confirm only the Thursday occurrence is deleted
  6. In Fossify, both Thursday's AND Wednesday's occurrences are removed

Expected behavior

Deleting one event in a recurring series should only delete one event.

Actual behavior

Deleting one all day event in a repeating daily series deletes both that event AND the previous day's event (at least it deletes it from view in Fossify, the CalDAV data must still reflect it since Thunderbird and other apps synced to the server show it correctly)

I believe this is related to the DTSTART and DTEND fields. In Thunderbird for All Day Events these are YYYYMMDD, but in Fossify there are additional characters, for example "T200000Z" (presumably the time or timezone)

In Fossify, delete the Thursday occurrence (select "delete the selected occurrence only")

What happens when you delete this event in Thunderbird? Is the previous occurrence still "deleted" in Fossify?

This is probably related to https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Calendar/issues/138 and/or https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Calendar/issues/468
