Do notifications work if you choose reminder type Notification instead of Email?

I've just tested it, and yes, the notifications work for the recurring event, it's only by email that it doesn't work.

  1. What app are you using for synchronization?
  2. If you can tell, what service are you using for syncing calendar?

  1. I use Davx5 (latest v4.4.5-ose).
  2. I use Infomaniak: https://calendar.infomaniak.com

I have the same (or similar) issue. Xpertia 1 IV, Android 14, Calendar 1.2.0 (F-Droid version).

I tried to use recurrent task. Noticed that the first notification works as expected, (some of) the next - are not shown. I did some experiments and noticed that if I mark task as completed (button on popup) - the next notifications won't appear. If I just swipe notification - it might work, but might not. I couldn't 100% identify the action which suppress further notifications. It's difficult to experiment because minimum waiting period for recurrent events is 1 day.

@alex0x50 It's a different bug. This report is about e-mail notifications.

Email notifications don't work for me if I create an event in Fossify calendar with that option. I noticed that, in my web calendar interface (Infomaniak too) and in Thunderbird, the notification is actually registered as a popup notification and not email.

I have that behaviour with all events (recurring events or not) so it may not be the same case but I prefer to mention it because it can be a clue.

Hi there, Is there a way to bypass or a workaround this bug? I still have it on the latest version (1.3.0). I miss plenty of events because i don't receive the alert :'( Thanks
