this is the most commonly used current version of the icon. +1 (we use this very often on government websites and would love to have this in font awesome)

I am adding a comment here in hopes of this getting some attention. We have received a request to add the nextdoor icon and were very surprised that it wasn't included in the brands yet. It looks like the one uploaded by @brownjerod is the latest that they are using.
