Octprint vs Cura versions, which is the best to use?

Just found out that Cura has had a version of this plugin, so can some explain whether there's a difference and which is better to use?

Personally I am using the OctoPrint release 1.1.0rc4 but I see on the github for the Cura version it has references to v1.2.0 and above.
