Custom Icons: corrupt on restart?

any custom icons for instances become corrupt on restart of MultiMC

Well what about this type of problem. it is icon related. I'm running OS x and when I drag a pic over the change icon window for an instance it won't even accept any icon. Except for the icons provided. Is this a bug or a glitch?
