I think @MrDerecho is wanting a feature added so that `add_files()` ignores field ids that are present in existing parquet files.

Metadata Compaction and Data File Compaction are top of mind for me - and not to mention [this](https://github.com/apache/iceberg-python/pull/2434) and [this](https://github.com/apache/iceberg-python/pull/2369) 😄
