[bug] Word prioritization with names

Open seanblue opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

The following sentence showed up on imabi.net: 天気もいいですね。

Using yomichan to look up the particle も, I got five results for the name もい before the particle も shows up. I even had an instance with もか where there were so many variations of the name that the particle も wasn't even listed. Don't you think words should be prioritized above names?

This is working as intended; match length is the most important factor in determining sort order. The fact that a dictionary has names in it does not imply that it should be lower priority in of itself. You should be able to set relative dictionary priorities if you have advanced options set to visible though.

That's a nice feature, but does that help in this situation? No matter how I change the priorities, the names in this search still show up first because もい is longer than も.

With Yomichan on Firefox, even when I set dictionary priorities exact match still seems to take precedence: image
