Sharing
Any chance you can implement a sharing system so users can share notes via username or group name? This would be a vast improvement!
I wonder how much coffee for this could be pulled from the user/group sharing functionality just merged into the oc sync client?
I would love to be able to publicly share notes (read-only, of course) as well!
This one is a must-have to switch from evernote (or equivalent) to ownnote.

Why read only? I mean, I understand that it's technically simpler, and would be easier to implement quickly this way. In terms of the eventual ideal though, I'd prefer to have the same options that we have when sharing files elsewhere (ie option to enable editing, share with groups etc).
Bump - showing my support for this feature too. I like and use the ownnote app a lot - I especially love the android app, but it would be great to be able to share some notes with other users.

I would assume there should be an option to share read-only as well as a share for editing mode.
I'm slightly worried that there has been an apparent lack of activity on this project as a whole lately, and that this important sharing feature may possibly never be implemented.
Can we get comment from @Fmstrat to give us some idea of the status/priority of this feature and/or the project as a whole?
I am personally a large fan of this particular owncloud app and, if others are interested too, I'll set-up a bounty for this feature.
I am being forced to consider dokuwiki due to lack of this feature. I was tempted to research developing the feature on my own but do not want to create a fork, anyone interested in a collaboration?

You have my vote for this as well. Having a synchronized notebook with my SO is the number one most used feature of Evernote as a whole these days. Absolute must if I am to switch.
