Can Receive but Not Send Serial Data

I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out why cu on my linux machine was able to receive serial data from my teensy but not send it. Turns out it was the crtscts parameter needing to be -crtscts as described here

I figured this out because I tried using "Serial Port Monitor" on my windows machine instead and it worked immediately, so I knew it was an issue with my serial client on linux.

Once I installed uucp and made the config changes etherkey started working like a charm. Now just need to figure out if I can send multiple control or scroll lock key presses in a row so I can use this to control my KVM. Just wanted to post here in case someone else runs into the same issue.
