Different keyboard layouts

Hi, Thank you for your work on Etherkey and for releasing it as open source. Would you be able to indicate how to go about modifying the code so that an EN keyboard would generate the expected symbols when connected to a device with a different language setting? eg on a UK keyboard \ presently produces < on a FR keyboard rather than \ required. I've got this up and running on an Arduino, using @Sjord's suggested modifications and with both devices set to the same language. I can't get a pipe symbol (|) to be produced on the receiving machine (get ~) is this a difference between US layouts and UK, or is it related to ASCII encoding? Best Wishes, A

On some systems it is possible to configure different layouts for different keyboards. That way, you can configure your Etherkey device as US keyboard, while keeping your normal keyboard to French. Would that work for you?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The device we’re connecting to is configured for a French keyboard layout, and we shouldn’t change that. We have UK keyboards that we’d like to be able to use to connect to that device using Etherkey.
