Have somebody other than Ben test the LDAP groups feature

Description

The following pull request requires somebody with a working LDAP solution to test:

As it was developed by @hardillb and tested with his local LDAP environment it was not independently tested.

I believe @knolleary has access to a suitable environment.

I propose we don't roll this over and close it.

We can fix any errors if hit.
