Does macOS 10.15 work for 4k monitors and 4k laptop displays with whatevergreen? I tried and i can't get it to work with my intel hd 630. fakeid: 591b8086 ig-platform-id:591b0000. Is there a patch or something i need?

Nevermind. I got it working with the script from Floris.

Cannot get HiDPI (4k+) resolution to work in macOS Catalina 10.15 Beta. Only 2560x1440 and lower resolutions are accessible. Seems like patch from Mojave doesn't work. I have Intel 8600K (UHD 630 with 0x3E920003 platform-id) by the way. Any workaround?

I have a macbook pro 13“ early 2015 (10.15 beta, intel iris 6100) and can‘t get 4k 60hz over my dp to hdmi 2.0 adapter. When using windows 10 via bootcamp, it‘s working though. Any chance you guys can add catalina support?

I fixed it using LiLu and WhatEvergreen on a real mac :-D -> check this out: https://github.com/mojo2012/hackintosh-stuff/tree/MacBookPro12%2C1

I just downloaded liku.kext and whatevergreen.kext and placed both in /Library/Extensions. Then I used hackintool to fix kext permissions , reboot and done 😊

That really sounds smooth and simple. Maybe I was making it too difficult. Next tests will be this way, for now I am happy that the patch here works and I can commence working with the 2 screens in maxed out resolution. Thanks for taking the time to explain!

I am having trouble with 4k@60 in Catalina, I got random black screen (it doesn't lost connection, just black screen). System is 8700k, uhd 630 only, LG 4k monitor connected via DP 1.2. Platform id 0x3E9B0007, GPU device id 0x3E9B8086. I found workaround, if I disable DP 1.2 feature on monitor after boot, it fixes, no black screen at all.

Maybe someone knows real solution, so would be helpful!

I had a similar issue and switched the cable, now connection is stable although a black picture is kinda greenish. I think that the color space is somewhat limited

Hackintosh often does not support MultiStreamTransport (MST) on some SMBIOS configurations.. I’m using SST (DP1.1) to get it to work.. you should be able to find some info on it online
