Add Icons To Kanban Lists
First of all, thanks a ton for creating such an important plugin which I deem vital. It makes our Obsidian vaults so much more aesthetic and also helps a ton with all aspects of folder/note organisation.
I was wondering if it would be possible to add the same custom icons to Kanban Lists?
It would be so awesome if we could assign custom icons to each one of our Kanban lists.
Not sure if it's possible, since I assume there must be a level of interoperability between the Icon Folder plugin and the Kanban plugin.
But on the other hand, it might be a relatively easy implementation. So I thought it was worth asking.
Again, thanks a lot for creating such an invaluable plugin! I really really appreciate you!
Sure this is definitely possible, and I am considering creating some sort of public API for other plugins to integrate this plugin. How do you think should the icon be displayed there?
@FlorianWoelki Thanks for the reply! I'm really glad to hear that it would be possible!
I thought simply prepending the icon in front of the Kanban list would be perfect. As shown in the screenshot below.
If I add Unicode emoji in front of the Kanban list title, it looks kind of okay. But of course, in that case we're limited by what Unicode has to offer in terms of emojis and colors. As shown in the screenshot below.
So I was envisioning it very similar to the Unicode example above but instead of a Unicode emoji we can use the custom icons via your inimitable plugin.
I would like to throw support behind this request. Adding icons which already exist in the vault would be preferable to requiring additional images added to the vault for labels to Kanban boards.
