[Bug]: Colored tabs and switching using Ctrl + Tab

Bug Summary

When switching between tabs with Ctrl + Tab the colored tabs are slightly delayed. Same behavior if switching used Alt + 1, 2 for switching. Works fine if you instead click on the tab,

Reproduction Steps

1. Open 2 tabs
2. Switch between them using Ctrl + Tab.

Expected Behavior

Should work as it works when clicking on tabs rather than the delay.

Actual Behavior

Doesn't switch quickly and is delayed.

I am running it on Wayland but same behavior is on x11 aswell.
