Mediainfo isn't explained anywhere

In Flood on a torrents details screen there's a "Mediainfo" tab that just says "An error occurred while running mediainfo on the server. Check that mediainfo is installed and available in the PATH to Flood."

There's no information about this in the readme or the wiki.

What is this? How do we use it? Could we get some documentation?
