-glevel ... Level 1 produces minimal information, enough for making backtraces ...

Full debug info are very big and mainly no sense for "plain users", but backtraces often need for first time analysis.

As far as I understand, FR required two build cicle. It is excessively for nightly build, but quite reasonable for release build.

Firebird is open source, you can build it. The project should not supply everyone isolated wishes.
