Hello. On every single server where I install Firebird, I get this message: Do you plan to do something about that? For Microsoft Defender Firebird installer is suspicious. Best regards.

Not much Firebird project can do for that,.

Send (if there is any place to do that) false positive report to the Microsoft Defender team to analyse.

Also sending it to the Virus Total also, most likely won't help much, but does not hurt.

As a side note: could the CI-build process of Firebird send installers (at least of releases) to the Virus Total and possibly other virus scanner vendors.

Sending to the Virus Total , I think, can be automated. For other virus scanner vendors, for most most likely not. Some might have email address that could be used. Sending manually is quite a lot of work.

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented launching the unrecognised application. Launching this application can cause the danger to the computer.

IIRC, that is because the Firebird project doesn't use signed executables, though those smartscreen warnings have become a bit more aggressive and FUD over the years.

That's even worse warning from the Edge: Firebird...exe can damage the device. Do you want to keep it anyway?
