Ace rectangle selections not correctly highlighted for other users

Ace supports rectangle selections (Alt+LMB drag) and firepad shows other users' selections with a background color. It fails for rect selection however. Only one line is highlighted:

Yeah, Firepad definitely doesn't have support for multisegment selection at this time. It'd be a fairly involved change - the network serialization of cursor positions would have to evolve.

This would be a good thing to do, however, because CodeMirror has also added multisegment selection support.

Any chance you have some time to work on this, @CoDEmanX?

It's okay. I don't believe this one will make it in anytime soon - it's fairly tricky. Thanks for raising the issue though.
