Recording devices set to "Listen" are grouped

Open PINPAL opened this issue 3 years ago • 0 comments

Description

Windows recording devices that are set to Listen to this device are grouped into one process.

This is quite annoing if you are using virtual audio inputs to seperate music/voip/general for screen recording etc.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to EarTrumpet in the system tray and right click
  2. Navigate to Windows LegacyRecording Devices
  3. Select any recording device and navigate to it's properties.
  4. Go to the Listen tab and enable Listen to this device
  5. Re-open EarTrumpet's volume mixer and observer device grouping.

Meta

  • EarTrumpet version: 1.2.3.4
  • Windows 10 version: 19042.746

Screenshots

If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem. image In this screenshot you can see my 2 virtual recording devices: • VOIP Input • Music Input being grouped into one which makes it much slower to quickly see the volume of each one.
