Issue: EarTrumpet not detecting Microsoft Edge for volume control or output device selection

Summary

Hi EarTrumpet team,

I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to report an issue I’m experiencing with the app.

Currently, EarTrumpet does not detect Microsoft Edge in the list of active applications, so I’m unable to adjust its individual volume or select a different output device for the browser.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Restarted both EarTrumpet and Windows.

Reinstalled the app from the Microsoft Store.

Confirmed Edge is updated to the latest version.

Tested with other programs (Spotify, Discord, etc.), which are all detected correctly.

System details:

Windows 10 (version 19045.6332)

EarTrumpet version: 2.3.0.0

Microsoft Edge version: Versión 141.0.3537.57 (Compilación oficial) (64 bits)

Could you please let me know if this is a known issue or if there’s any configuration I might be missing?

Thanks a lot for your time and for the great work you do with EarTrumpet.

Best regards, Ignacio Armellini

I found a workaround that fixed it: I right-clicked the EarTrumpet icon → selected Windows Legacy Controls → opened App Volume and Device Preferences, and manually set Edge to my headphones. After doing that, Edge started appearing correctly in EarTrumpet again.

Hey there, what was it set to before? Or was it blank?
