Incorrect volume readings on taskbar when changing volumes

Open bruh777x opened this issue 5 months ago • 2 comments

Summary

ET shows wrong volume readings when you hover over the taskbar volume icon, and use the scroll wheel to change the volume, it shows incorrect voume readings, more specifically it shows the previous volume reading prior to changing it. I am on win10 22h2

Steps to reproduce

Hover over the volume icon on the taskbar, EG it shows 20 in the pop up, scroll up (or down) and the actual volume is now 22, but the pop up will still show it's 20, then if you change the volume again like you scroll down and now the actual volume is 20 again, but ET will show it's now 22, so it's reading the previous value.

EarTrumpet version

2.3.0.0

Windows version

10.0.19045.6093

Is it off by 2% for you? Can you try a dev build? https://github.com/File-New-Project/EarTrumpet/issues/1483

Interesting. In the 2.3.0.118 it works... but only if the icon is directly in the taskbar. If it's in the flyout (like on the screenshot) the tooltip doesn't update at all.

In either case the native popup doesn't show:

It only appears when using media keys on the keyboard to change the volume.
