Switching main audio out device does not switch the applications anymore

Open Lumiukko opened this issue 3 years ago • 0 comments

Summary

Expected behavior: When richt-clicking on the EarTrumpet tray icon and selecting another audio out device, all applications associated switched to that audio device. No individual assignment of application was necessary.

Current behavior: See steps to reproduce.

Suggested fix: Assuming this is an intended change, perhaps an option in the settings could help, so people can choose, whether all applications should be switched to, or remain with certain audio devices, once another audio device is selected via right-click. This potentially may also be useful for audio-input devices.

Steps to reproduce

As of the new Version of EarTrumpet 2.1.10.0 (i assume), when I right click on the tray icon and select a different audio device, some applications (e.g. Firefox and some games) remain with their previous associated audio device and do not use the one I just switched to. I have to open the EarTrumpet mixer with all devices and switch the applications over manually.

EarTrumpet version

2.1.10.0

Windows version

10.0.19043.1586
