Can't drag any svg file to canvas

Bug description Dragging an svg file does not import svg but in figma web app it does

I have the same issue, when I try to drag an SVG file to the Figma-Linux app, it just gets converted to PNG. I don't think there is any other way to place SVG files onto the canvas, which is a real problem.

Okay, I managed to fix it. I just needed to allow Home folder access on my elementary OS 6 machine: image
