Make the custom title bar optional

Open TECHNOFAB11 opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

The custom titlebar looking like Windows 10 should be optional. Its laggy when dragging, it doesnt support stuff like double click etc.

When directly enabling the window outline thing again in KDE i can just resize this outline and the content stays the same size.

Please remove it or make it optional, its awful to work with :(

Edit: same thing happens with YoutubeMusicDesktopApp, see the issue here

Yea, on two monitors it's not working right.

When maximized on one window and dragged to another, it scales to 110% in width and the whole top bar goes to the top where there is no screen. So, the only option left is to close/kill the app and reopen it.

Also, when restored to the original size (not maximized), it shows the same icon as maximized.

And it is bringing inconsistency.

Please make it optional or remove it :(

It's now come to a point where I can't even use this app anymore (except for when I need local fonts :( ) because the title bar is just so annoying to work with. I can't even move Figma partly out of my screen, it snaps back and the window gets bigger??? Also, double click to maximize etc. doesn't work, when moving it on KDE it's laggy af and has a lot of artifacts. And the only reason to have such a bar is that there is a small arrow down for settings and the currently opened tabs? Sorry but I see no use in this custom bar and for me personally it's just been annoying to a point where I don't even want to work anymore and have to switch to the normal Chrome version :(

I deffinitely agree with this. We should be able to remove the titlebar controls and use a default titlebar from KDE or Gnome (GTK).

It's getting tricky to fix stuff on the "new" title bar, because it's based on stuff glued together, instead of just using default window titlebar from the DE's window manager.

Optional would be a good option like we have in telegram

any progress on this?

Edit: nvm, deleted figma-linux, I can't stand this thing, especially on a TWM.
