I have tested the compilation on macOS, but I could not resolve the python interface compilation issues. I gave up.

Try to set platform: linux/amd64 in docker-compose.yml for image with f2c library.

At least we have a way to solve it. I'll keep this issue open, just in case someone is able to make it run natively on Mac.
