Oh, the Biome Makeover saguaro actually grows from individually placed cactus blocks rather than from a sapling. That might be a better behaviour for matching vanilla.

I resolved this for myself by renaming one "Sonoran Cactus."

Ah, okay. Following a link from there I found a fix for it in the fixes section of [Vanilla Tweaks Resource Packs](https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/resource-packs/). I'll try that out =D
