`gamemoded -t` testing fails upon installation: ERROR: Initial ioprio value is non-default
Describe the bug Testing GameMode fails using default settings immediately upon installation.
To Reproduce Steps used to reproduce the behavior:
- Install GameMode as per the documentation
- run
gamemoded -t - Test fails

Expected behavior Expected test to pass as no changes has been made to the default configurations
System Info (please complete the following information):
- OS and version: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS
- GameMode Version: 1.7

However, it works sometimes.

I am also running the same OS, and same gamemode version. Same issue as described. Test fails while verifying ioprio.

Experiencing the same issue with ioprio test not passing after fresh install. (version and os also same)
+1, same problem, same OS and same GameMode version. Did you ever find a solution?
+1 I've got this issue too on the same OS. Reinstalling does not help.
I'm on latest Pop OS here. Try to properly install gamemode following the instructions on this page, then reboot the system. After that, try the self-test and see if it works.
Tried what @jhpgcj suggested in https://github.com/FeralInteractive/gamemode/issues/376#issuecomment-1455185288. Still doesn't work for me.

It's strange we got no comment from the devs since Aug'22...
