How safe is to use "gamemode" with VAC-secure games or games with other Anti-Cheat solutions?

This is more like a request for comment than a bug report. I've asked the same question to Steam Support and they didn't provided any real help, other than suggestion to ask "gamemode" developers directly. So, how safe is to use "gamemode" with VAC-secure games or games with other anti-cheat solutions? How deep "gamemode" integrates itself into system and into a game that was launched with it? Is there a possibility of triggering false positive in any anti-cheat?

I can't comment on specific anti-cheat implementations, but I've not yet heard of any contention - and GameMode isn't really doing anything that should scare them.

I use gamemode with l4d2, I don't trigger and vac so far.

as far as i know gamemode only touches the system not the game (I might be wrong) it deals with the cpu governor
