Something that makes no sense

I keep the My pal folder in my documents folder and have a short cut on the desk top, I move the mypal folder from the My documents folder to the recycle bin, I unzip a fresh copy to the desk top and click on the short cut on in the folder the browser opens in its default state,But as soon as I move the folder back into the My Documents folder its like I did nothing, all everything is back just as it was book marks extensions everything just like there and I have not even added none of that stuff and I do not see anything in the My documents folder that be doing that
