Links with periods (or dots, ".") in the description are not recognized

This is similar to https://github.com/Feel-ix-343/markdown-oxide/issues/292 , but it's about the descriptions.

I have a file foo.md:

# work
[[baz]]
[[baz|desc]]
[desc](baz)
[desc(with parenthesis work)](baz)


# don't work
[desc.](baz)
[[baz|desc.]]

The first three links correctly resolve to baz.md, but the two last ones won't, saying "no definition found".

I'm on version markdown-oxide v0.25.8. Can reproduce with both Helix and Emacs.
