In the past year, reddit has implemented "share links" for posts/comments in the above syntax. Depending on the user's detected browser (e.g. Firefox 123) and whether they're using a VPN (e.g. Mullvad), these URLs now resolve to the login screen if not signed in, making it impossible to bypass the login wall / get the real URL.
