Double click to edit is a good quality mod. Simple and awesome :) However, I find myself copying a lot of stuff on discord, both from myself and others, so this is where I'd like to suggest a feature. What if, when you select text, it won't go to edit mode or reply mode. The edit mode and reply mode is entered upon release of the second click. I usually double click a word and drag my mouse for easier copy & paste. And as soon as I release the mouse to copy, I enter edit/reply mode, witch will de-select what I selected for copy & paste. I don't have JS experience, and I'm well aware that this may not work. It is just a suggestion after all, so feel free to focus on other stuff instead :)

This should be an easily achievable fix, on it!

Excuse the delay! I only got to it today.

Wait hang on.

The edit mode and reply mode is entered upon release of the second click. I usually double click a word and drag my mouse for easier copy & paste. And as soon as I release the mouse to copy, I enter edit/reply mode, witch will de-select what I selected for copy & paste.

What exactly do you want me to do? Something like: When you have a modifier key held (Ctrl/Alt/Shift) it copies the selected text before it enters the edit mode or something?

I'm confused.

This is why filling in all the fields with some care helps with confusion when handling issues.

There's a easy way to copy text. You simply double click a word, and hold down on the second click. No, you may drag your mouse over the text you wish to select. I'm well aware that you may only click once as well, but I prefer this way of copying. I think a possible solution is giving a small delay. So if you don't release click the second time after a certain amount of time, it won't enter edit/reply mode.

Here's what I can do. I can make a toggle in settings so that when you double click a message it copies anything that has been selected before entering editing/reply.

How does that sound?

sounds great :)

This update should implement this feature. Better late than never, I suppose.

My apologies this never quite got pushed.
