Inspeed e-vane - Sensor Integration

Open kb1lqd opened this issue 8 years ago • 0 comments

Summary

This ticket holds the information needed during the integration and bringup of the e-vane wind direction sensor. This sensor outputs an analog voltage that relates the wind direction (degrees) to a scaling ratio of the input voltage.

Supporting Information

Given the initial harness connector and resistors the document below holds the scaling info that relates input voltage to output voltage based on both the sensor ratio and the voltage divider ratio. The voltage divider is needed because the CC430's internal voltage reference is 2.5V and 95% of Vin (3.3V) is well above this maximum. The accuracy will diminish but is probably OK in the grand scheme of the project. Worst case we can just use 0.5% tolerance resistors if needed.

Both resistors are (~5% tolerance?) 220K ohms.
