Remove media server dependency

Open e9169 opened this issue 1 month ago • 1 comments

Description

There are use cases where no media server is needed at all. For instance, a user using Kodi (or any other media player) on the TV or different device, there is no need for a media server since Kodi in this case will do it all (metadata, progress tracking, etc.). A more detailed example would be:

sonarr leaves the media in folder A radarr leaves the media in folder B These folders are added to Kodi as tvhsows/movies

We still want Seerr to be a requester for users, but that's perfectly okay with the current sonarr/radarr integration. So, no need for a media server if the user don't need one.

Desired Behavior

That we can opt out from a media server hard requirement when many times is not even needed
