Do other ci updates from dev need to be backported / chery-picked as well? Like 927b1f2fa3c6f12db6d6c05582c886dc9704813b?

And please add the cherry-pick -x footer on "ci: Deduplicate SCM checkouts". :-)

Yes, this PR is not up to date. I am still debating with myself whether I should move the Jenkinsfile content to a shared library.
