wiiusb helper deletes record of games

the program keeps deleting the record of what games i have and even though i can open the game within the emulator it disappears from wii usb helper and my desktop links also dissapear. strangest thing. i cant think of what is causing it and i dont know how to trick the program into thinking i have installed it again.. can i just point it to the folder somehow? i dont want to re download the games every time it happens lol

Makes it hard to come back and unpack them when they dont show under downloaded.

Are you moving the game files around to use with Cemu? If so, that could be the reason. Otherwise I don't quite get why that would happen, sometimes when a game is freshly downloaded Wii U USB Helper fails to mark it as such straight away. Restarting it usually fixes this. If not, then attempting to download it again should bring it back to its senses when it finds the files already there.

Don't use Wii U Helper to do that. Always use the proper emulator setup and everything plugged in properly never use the "in-built" emu, it's a drain on resources
