Crashes on startup

Wii U USB Helper returned non-zero exit code 0xe0434352 https://api.nul.sh/logs/A_PZP3s7BH82

I did some search and it says to disable Windows Defender? I couldnt do this either bc I'm on windows 10 home.

"Local Group Policy Editor is not available in Windows 10 Home edition and is only available in Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise editions. Therefore if you have Windows 10 Home, you cannot use this method."

Anyone else experiencing this?

You can copy the gpedit from another version of Windows 10/11 and it should work, or manually change the registry as thats what gpedit does anyway, but yeah I can see how that would be a issue

I'm not sure disabling defender would change this anyway, as its not failing in anything specifically defender-related. Its complaining about USB Helper trying to use a crypto algo that isnt part of Windows's built in crypto suite. Makes me wonder if maybe you are missing a requirement or if a update changed something recently.

Maybe try doing a clean install of USB Helper?
