Virus False Positive on 32bit build.
Hi, sorry for bothering you fine people, but i was wanting to download the 32bit build of xash3d and my anti virus flagged it and blocks me from downloading it. (Bitdefender)
I threw it in virustotal and it gets flagged by a few security vendors as Fragtor. Any ideas why this might be getting flagged?

Well because these antiviruses probably suck.
Somebody should figure out how to send them an appeal. I did that with Microsoft, and it worked.
No worries then, just wanted to double check. Bitdefender does annoy me sometimes, it was even flagging some Visual Studio files as viruses.

Would keep this open because BitDefender still finds false positive here. And antiviruses being an intrusive tools to provide some sense of security, it still harms us. =/

Ah apologies about that, i tried the link and it seemed to work on my end.
Could just be their site bugging out or something.
It's ok. I should figure out what's up with their website. It doesn't open without VPN and with VPN scripts just doesn't work. =/
It worked from different browser. I've sent them an appeal.

У меня вообще Microsoft Defender каждый раз ругается на то,что в exe движка какой-то троян и сносит его напрочь,и приходится каждый раз его в исключения ставить, тоже и при обновлении версии движка.
I would like to point out that this has gotten to the point that now chrome blocks downloads of the build due to picking something up on download
I'm just wondering if you guys have latest updates installed, because these warnings never get triggered for me

У нас экзешник не называется hl.exe.
Я переименовл xash3d.exe на hl.exe
dealing with the same problem. xash3d-fwgs-win32-i386.7z is coming up as a virus. not too sure what to do about it other than just install it on linux :P.
You still can recompile the whole engine from source code.
But the problem might persist because Windows Defender has faulty databases.
Got the false positive on my windows pc aswell, though it shows up as a different trojan.
