Description

This issue is a collection of bug reports, feature suggestions, and feedback from DMs with Saereth to keep track of them all. Items are ticked when they are addressed and crossed out when they are no longer relevant.

Recipes

  • [X] missing recipe for Fuel from Diesel in the Advanced Mixer
  • [ ] mid to late-game alternative recipe for Osmium
  • [ ] a recipe for crafting more Creative Blaze cakes after you obtained the first one from the quest
  • [ ] Quantum Assembler adjustments (it's designed so all technical items have double output while magic-related stuff only has the convenience of being crafted easily without doubling)
    • currently not doubled but tech-related: Diesel Generator, Conductive Soldering Alloy
    • the Precision Mechanism recipe is a bit odd in comparison to its default recipe
  • [ ] alternative late-game recipe for Sturdy Sheets
  • [ ] add a recipe from Nether Quartz to Quartz Dust for the Mekanism Crusher
  • [ ] missing Dust recipe for Stoneworks Factory
  • [ ] no alternate recipe for Inscribers in something like the Quantum Assembler
  • [ ] the Induction Smelter recipe requires an Advanced Component that doesn't have a late-game recipe to workaround the sequenced assembly
  • [ ] alternative recipe for Biomass to automate Liquid Methane in the Fluid Extractor, maybe in the Advanced Mixer
  • [ ] the recipe for Hydrofluoric Acid in the Chemical Dissolution Chamber has an issue that I guess originates from floating point imprecision, it requires 100mb Sulfuric Acid and a Flourite to produce a bucket of Hydrofluoric Acid, the result is fine but it either leaves some Sulfuric Acid in the input or doesn't get enough because it's not exactly 100mb, that's likely a Mekanism bug but maybe you could change the recipe to something else that doesn't do that
  • [ ] alternate end game recipe for hop graphite that doesn't include the crusher spirit

Quests

  • [X] quest fixes for grammar and spelling
  • [x] fix the issue that some quests don't complete
    • very tricky mod-related issue
  • [ ] open-sourcing of quests to allow easier contributions
  • [ ] mid to late-game quests are rather sparse
  • [x] more mentioning of unlocks after specific milestones like Desh and Ostrum
  • [ ] a new questline for Integrated Dynamics which is not mentioned at all yet, maybe in Pipe Dreams
  • [ ] a quest to tell the player that you can obtain ElementalCraft elements from Botania mana
  • [ ] quest for Botanical Machinery
  • [X] field projector quest is duplicate
  • [X] Etching Tank quest gives you an Etching Acid Bucket although you only need 12 PCBs at this stage and the Etching Tank doesn't consume acid if not sped up
  • [ ] more quests for Diesel Generator fuels as well as the dependencies such as TNT (maybe power chapter since it's a bit empty)
  • [x] a note in the quest for the mob farm where you get the NBT barrel that tells the player you can pulse cursed earth to increase the spawn rate
  • [x] a quest mentioning time torches, never heard of them before but they are really useful
  • [x] Mobfarming and You quest chapter is not completable because of two hidden quests that are presumably disabled because there are no recipes for the Cyclic spikes? You should remove them.
  • [x] in the Overpowered Chapter, line 4, quest Arcane Creatio, the 256k Portable Mana Cell is a crafting task instead of a submit task

Misc

  • [x] ~~toggling of events doesn't seem to work~~
    • in case someone finds this and has a similar issue -> all players in a team need to disable the events for themselves, it's not a group-wide switch
  • [x] loot table adjustments in villages to prevent players from obtaining disabled items or bait items like sources from ElementalCraft although the extractor is disabled
  • [X] Akashic tome changes since some of the included books are also given by quests and some of them are not in the tome or quests
    • Books that can be removed from the Tome since you get them from quests:
      • Chronicles of Shadows - Apotheosis
      • Quest Book since you are getting it in your starter inventory
      • Guide Book? you can't even use it, idk what this is
      • Elemntopedia - Elementalcraft
      • Book of Shadows - Hexerei
      • Industrial Foregoing's Manual - Industrial Foregoing
      • Food Book - Spice of Life Carrot Edition
    • Books that need to be crafted and should be granted on quests or should be part of the default tome:

  • [X] Patchouli advancement locking should be disabled because of changed progression

  • [x] update Ars Energistique to fix some annoying bugs like source relays filling all nearby interfaces
  • [ ] Silicon is craftable in the Stoneworks Factory from Cobblestone instead of smelting Certus Quartz Dust, is that intentional?
  • [ ] unactivated Divination Sigils stack and when performing the activation ritual, you only get one activated Sigil and the rest is voided
  • [ ] it's not possible to get back blocks like the Fabrication Matrix when breaking them even with Silk Touch, they also have no effective tool to break them faster
  • [x] Creative Source Jar doesn't drop when broken, not even with Silk Touch

Discussed topics that are intended design

  • Quantum Assembler only exposes one side to work with
    • the built-in entangled blocks should be used to allow more access
  • setting up auto-crafting feels a bit pointless
    • the recipes are designed with batch/bulk crafting in mind, auto crafting is just a convenience
    • there are some exceptions such as the deeply nested circuits
  • picking up fluid from a basin with a bucket instead of a tank yields Teleportation Juice instead of Quantum Fluid
    • intended design by the mod since the lore says that a bucket is not capable of containing a strong liquid like Quantum Fluid
  • no real visible advantage for higher tier Diesel Generators except for space
    • higher tier Diesel Generators consume less Oxygen

Knocked out a few more of these for the next update, not closing yet though as I'll still keep adding more in future updates

This is something that Unfortunatly I won't be able to fix, the way this machine works its a bit weird, cause the input gas is defined by mb/t consumed so removing the input mid processing will cause weird numbers :T

Maybe you could add a quest to encourage passive auto-crafting for stocking so people don't make the same mistake as me and put it as an active request 😄 Thanks for the fixes. We have finished the pack a few months ago. It was a lot of fun.
