Describe the bug
Whenever i try to download FTB Unleased This message pop's up. I've also tried downloading it via the CurseForge App. However this also crashes after you select the Modpack with the message cannot download assets
Steps to reproduce
Simply open the app and try to download the modpack. it instantly pops up the error msg
Expected behaviour
to download and work i guess?

I'm not use but i think this has happened after the minecraft launcher got updated. back in the days (like 5 years ago) it used to work fine. [although back then it was on the old ftb launcher]
For whatever reason, they don't support 1.5.2 anymore. None of their 1.5.2 packs are on the FTB App: https://www.feed-the-beast.com/modpacks?sort=featured . The only way will be curseforge and then you'll have to debug the issue yourself. What you can try is using the Prism launcher. Unleashed works for me there, except you'll have to download an old version of java 8 and have the modpack use that. I used java 8u5.
Hey, thanks, I've been looking into this today, it looks like we've got a bunch of jank around these systems. I've put some time into it today but I've not quite been able to track down the root cause. I found an underlaying issue with our legacy forge installer so I've fixed that but a true resolve for this will likely take a while longer.
It's worth noting that GDLauncher also can't install these packs and although Prism Launcher can install it, you can't play this pack specifically due to it crashing.
