BGP Route not Restored on Node B after Reconnecting Intermediate Link with BFD
- Topology consists of Node A - Node B - Node C.
- EBGP established between Node A and Node C. BFD is enabled between A and C, allowing successful route learning between them.
- Node B's network is intentionally brought down, causing rapid convergence and successful route restoration between Node A and Node C.
- Node B's network is reconnected.
- Node A's route to Node B is successfully restored, but Node B fails to restore its route to Node A
However, performing the same steps without utilizing the BFD feature allows for successful restoration of routes between Node A and Node C.

I see that this was tested with FRR 8.2.2 - Any chance to retest this with a newer FRR? 9.0 just came out or at least some 8.5.x release.

I upgraded to version 9.0 and found that this problem is indeed no longer present
but
I have a question, in version 8.2.2, I can solve this issue by using disable-connected-check
configuration. So, is the root cause of this issue due to the execution of connected-check
?
Could you show also the BFD configuration?
