Assign individual colors for each highlight keywords
Add functionality to enhance keyword highlighting on Vine pages by doing the following:
- Modify options to select color for keyword tile highlighting (to differentiate from new items (bookmarks)
- Modify tiles.js and CSS to leverage selected color for keyword highlighting
In the future, it would be cool to have keyword groups, so that colors could be assigned based on groups, but that is for a different day.
Highlighted items from keywords have a yellow border
Themeing is a concept already being thought about as well... It could tie into this, but there is a lot of base styling that needs to exist first....lots of conflicting css
It would be nice if the individual keyword (that matches) could be highlighted. For example, I filter my notifications by "Zero ETF and KW match only" and the Zero ETF items are obvious but the ones that match keyword are not. I often ask myself, "why am I seeing this, what keyword did it match?" If the matched keyword was highlighted (like when do CTRL/CMD+F) it would make it easier to know.
I could output what keyword match but highligthing them would be too complicated as regular expressions (which the keywords are) can be really complex.
If you look at the items in a normal page (not the notification monitor) you can see in the debug (press D) what keyword matched for a certain ASIN #. That way it's easier to figure things out ...
Revisiting this...is there any way to be able to track what keyword is causing matches? I'm not seeing anything in the debug log for what the match is...only that items are being displayed because of a match.
9n regular page there is no good way yet, but in the notification monitor you can check the technical details with the (?) Icon.
You can also copy&paste the item title causing concern into the testing tool under the Keyword tab, located under/after the hidden keywords. It will then highlight all fields which are matching. You can also pin that tool so it follow you around as you scroll the page.
Interesting! I tried the keyword testing in the past but it wouldn't highlight anything. But now I tried again and it worked. I was unaware of the (?) on each item, that indeed shows the keyword so I'll just use that. Thank you!!
