Gamecube saves on USB Hard Drive not being loaded by Nintendont

Hi Nintendont team!

I have been using your app to play gamecube games on my wii, and recently I moved my games and saves from my old usb stick to a new usb hard drive. However, when I go into games like Luigi's Mansion, my previous saves are nowhere to be found. I looked in the Nintendont settings, but I can't find anywhere to set the path for the emulated memory card. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks!

you probably have different nintendont settings then you did before, take a picture of your nintendont settings and then inside your saves folder.

Been running into this problem last couple years. I think they changed something or I just don't know how it works, but this is what I have done:

  1. Make sure Memcard Emulation is ON, Memcard Blocks is 251, and TURN Memcard Multi ON.
  2. Create a new file on a whatever game and SAVE, like a new file on Luigi's Mansion and save on a toad.
  3. Close the game and take the USB to a computer.
  4. Look into your \saves\ folder on your USB and look for a ninmen .RAW memory card (like one you access on Dolphin). This is the memory card you will be using.
  5. Load your save into this one, and return to nintendont and boot straight into the game (the settings should retain).

~I remember as a kid I had to create the separate .RAW file and load the save in, but it looks like it all saves to one .RAW called ninmen now. I will look into this and report back if I see anything about this.~

Edit: Okay, it seems I have the Memcard Multi option ticked. This will just populate a single memory card called ninmem with all the saves. This works for me. I have updated the list to include this step.
