Original (third party GameCube) controller or wiimote doesn't work

They work in other game and even in homebrew, but Nintendont glitches...

It shows the storage select screen for a milli second and then shows the games.. It shows all the games I have but when I try to use D-pad, a,b,y,x or triggers nothing works

And no I haven't turned native controlls on...

And sadly I never knew the shutdown combo And I never used it... I just pulled the plug
