Describe the bug FAF now goes fullscreen (from maximized) E.G. you no longer have access to your taskbar from FAF and FAF is not in view while any other app is visible and while FAF is visible no other app is able to be in view. also this state is hard to exit out of. you have to select FAF and only the "ESC" key will allow you to resume and then FAF automatically returns to maximized.

before in version 2022.2.0 this warning did pop up but did not cause FAF to fullscreen. now in 2022.3.0 and with JRE 17 it does.

Suggested fix: remove that one warning popin altogether.

• it does not mesh well with the rest of the FAF interface in terms of looks and of UX. (all of the other warning pop ins, for example error in launching FA, does not look or behave that way)
• the error message is " " anyways so it's of very little use (was always the case)
• it's a super redundant pop in because you get three total and generally you would see and deal with last (where the other ones don't require any user action). there's the message from Forged Alliance itself, the one from ICE adapter window and lastly this one. So having that third message in FAF is redundant and annoying to the user who simply wants to requeue ASAP.

I don't quite understand. What warning message do you mean? Do I understand you correctly that you could not reproduce the problem? And for clarification: you are talking about the client going fullscreen, not the game, right?

that's right, the client.

I think I can reproduce. it's just this error happens once in every 15 automatches.

The message literally says " ". it's a message that you get when automatch launched FA but then the other guy didn't connect. what the message says isn't my issue. it's the fact FAF goes fullscreen.

finally got it again. took me a while. the error message is indeed there as you can see, it's the desktop notification that says " ", but that's unimportant

and as you can see it's fullscreen which is the issue. and as soon as that pop in is closed FAF resumes normal size.

weird it stopped. I've had the error message a few dozen times now without the fullscreen bug. should I close?

ah nevermind, it did it again. it definitely not a consistent bug.

There isn't anything programmed in the client to show that notification at the top of the screen so this might be an interaction derived from some system setting maybe?
