Solthiruthi - framework - simplify letters
Split word into simple letters; this includes usual 'utf8.get_letters' and further splutting uyir-mei letters in uyir and mei portions.
This would be useful in pattern matching for Santhi rules detection, correction, punarchi rules application etc.

Thanks for investigating, Shrini. I added my comments.
Annamala/Shrinivasan, I am trying to update few scripts in python through pyCharm IDLE but tamil fonts are not rendering correctly. I tried different settings but didn't help/ what kind of IDE are you guys using for python programming in tamil? please let me know.
I use konsole terminal to see tamil letters properly.
@jesuruban - my name is Muthu Annamalai :-) on Windows I use Python 3 IDE to see right Tamil fonts; If you are on Windows emacs shell also works great.
On Linux you can use Konsole on KDE as @tshrinivasan suggested, or emacs shell.
:)...thank you Muthu and Shrinivasan..
